Doctors phoning in a minute!!!! Help!! Don't want to go!!!?

I have this really bad sore throat! It hurts to swallow, talk, cough, eat & drink! I don't want to go to the doctors today, i want to say "I'm okay now" when he phones in a minute! Please help! Any quick cures, house hold stuff or anything that might help me! Also....what have i actually got? It came this morning! So painfull :'( HELPPP
