Pain in side of head, neck and shoulder?

hi i'm a mother and i'm 30years old. Throughout today a pain has come on the left side of my head,,just above my ear, and now it is travelling down behind my ear, and onto my neck and left shoulder it is really painfull now and painkillers are'nt shifting it..what would be the most likely cause of this?
